Conception and birth are divinely sacred experiences that involve the (children of the world) making an impact for the future of humanity as a whole.  The responsibilities of parents are to not only guide our children, but openly be seen imperfectly and authentically and aligned with living consciously. 
 
          Creating humans is a serious and powerful gift and should never be taken lightly.  Our children must be seen and honored.  They have a purpose beyond us and it involves heart lead leadership, spiritually driven actions, and embracing a nonviolent compassionate way towards living and deeply loving.  To gaze into the eyes of babies unlocks the souls innocence and deepens the heart.  That lives in us all…since we were all once babies before.     
 
Welcome to the birth story of Forest Sky Tabotabo born on a cool summer morning.  He was born on the cusp of Leo into Virgo.  He arrived Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 4:09 AM.  Come join me in sharing in the natural and unique energy of birth with healing intentions, great openings, and the power of giving life.  
 
Birth is a deeply intimate and private act.  It deserves containment for holding space, intelligence to support the wisdom, and love to allow the natural unfolding to happen.  We named our son Forest, named after what we love so much: the beauty and joys of the wilderness and healing peace of nature.  His middle name is new addition that his older brother will add to his name as well.     
 
In the final weeks of pregnancy, I experienced a lot of waiting and more waiting.  My son’s guest date arrived and soon passed.  My mind and body were eager, but also I was nervous because I was very ready to meet my boy.  All I could do was wait and hold the highest and best intentions of ease, peace, short labor, no tearing, birthing at home, undisturbed, supported, and with LOVE, and that includes a supportive postpartum.  I got just about all those…almost. 
 
A few days before the birth of Forest I had acupuncture on a Sunday, (thank you divine doc Virginia Prior) and that Monday all day my plug was coming out.  Yay!  Otherwise known as the mucus plug and I was excited about it because this meant labor would start soon.  Monday came and no labor and no baby.  Really?  You know that feeling especially if you have been in this place.  Tuesday was busy all day and finally after a full day of non stop getting things done I decided to sit on the couch at 10:00PM and had a feeling not to go to bed.  I just sat in the dark room thinking.  Rain was sleeping and put himself to bed for the first time.  It must have been a sign. 
 
At 10:20PM something was happening.  I felt deep energy moving around my abdomen.  I told Rene this could be contractions.  After about 10 minutes more contractions came.  I was beyond THRILLED!!!  I could already feel this labor was different from birthing Rain.  The intensity was more then just mild cramping.  I texted my doula and midwives, but my eagerness had me call them sooner then later. 
 
I could feel the contractions or surges of birth building up with intensity.  Rene was keeping track of all contractions and they continued to get closer and closer.  In the resting times or the in between the contracting energy, I would feel high and very euphoric.  I image it is all the birth hormones that did not get disrupted by my environment or any medications.  I had permission to deeply stay connected and tune inward to my bodies natural system.  The beginning stages of labor seemed easy, and then it became harder, but not before it became pleasurable and felt good.  I will explain more about that later.
 
After midnight the midwives arrived and my doula arrived; Great thing was my doula was an apprentice midwife to my midwives and dear friend.  It was a triple bonus!!!  Friend, doula, and midwife student.  The midwives prepared the space and set up the water pool in my healing room.  My healing room is a small office that I work from and it is a sacred space that feels separate from the rest of the house energy.  My angelic birth team was Beth Cannon, Laura Monroe, and Tasha Boyd. Wendy Sugs my bestie sister came to help. She was on Rain duty and in care of my first son. 
 
My labor was mostly me glued to the big exercise ball.  I bounced on the ball to help with contractions and used my special birth spray that was made for me and my baby by Leeta and her healing mists of flowers, stones, and crystal essences.  I bounced and rocked on the ball in the healing room and ended up in the living room between the couch and TV.  The midwives kept an eye on me without over intervening and asked permission to check baby’s heart with monitor in beginning and baby did perfect with each contraction.  I did not doubt that he would.  I kept my intuition open to listen and guide his body and my body in a loving collaboration.  Sometimes babies do not do well with contractions and I often wonder if it is because mother gets stressed or feared by her body and support of her birth team.  That leads to other unintended interventions.
 
As the night came, so did more contractions and they were getting closer and closer.  I discovered that my contractions became more manageable and pleasurable.  I would have never ever imaged that possibility.  It was no orgasmic birth, but at one point around 2 hours before the push phase began I felt this swirling nice feeling in my hips as I continued to bounce on the ball with each contraction.  I noticed my breath went from heavy to normal.  I could feel this pleasurable feeling as I moved with the energy of my body.  It was great because it allowed me to rest and be present even more for the next part of labor and birth. 
 
Labor is hard work and I was reminded why it was called labor.  I am no exception to the pain and sweat upon my brow.  I learned in the moments how to manage it and use it productively and wisely.  It truly begins with the mind and an allowing of the body for all to work together.  I did have to engage with my mind and move between pain body and spirit body freedom.  I had to bring my energy down instead of upward.  It helped to have music playing and it was an Empowered Dance set.  It had instruments that made you want to groove and move.  I also had yoga music from Snatam Kaur playing. 
 
I recall the closer to meeting my son my thoughts become jumbled and my instincts became stronger on birthing him outward.  I remember feeling grateful during early labor because for a moment when I looked around the dark lite room and saw everyone with eyes closed and going inward.  I felt incredibly thankful for being HOME.  I could not allow myself such vulnerability without being at home.  I know in a hospital I could have never been able to birth my way and with such healing support.  I feel very strong about that and that alone made my birth amazing and powerful! 
 
Getting closer to meeting Forest in body continued and I did not hold any strong intentions for a water birth, but my healing room is where the birthing pool was set up by the midwives.  I loved the big ball and how it made me feel and how it allowed motion with my feet and legs.  I feared that the water would not provide my land movements.  I also held a fear from the 1st birth in where I transferred from birth pool to hospital.  That old program seemed to show up and felt like some superstitious energies praying upon my thoughts.  I decided to stay on exercise ball and things moved quickly.  I did at some point look at clock at 3:00AM and wondered how long the labor would be.  At this time I went deep into birth and was going to do whatever I needed to meet my son.  I could feel with each contraction I had a need to push down or bare down on bottom.  It felt really good to push down in each contraction and it was not scary or painful. It felt normal and natural.
 
I moved from ball to birthing stool because I was asked if I wanted the stool.  I agreed to try it out.  The stool was great because it allowed me to open my legs over it and use my body weight to push down.  After a few pushes I found my way deeper inward.  I could feel sweat forming on my head and it was a big workout.  I closed my eyes and moved inward with the urge to continue pushing.  I remember Beth telling me softly and firm that Forest was ready to be born.  Her eyes connected with mine and I worked with my body and my son to birth him into the world. 
 
The midwives were like angelic saints to me all kneeling around me doing supportive midwife duties of caring and assisting.  The labor continued to intensify and my water broke with a splash as I pushed just as Beth suspected it would (my “water broke” moments before birth.)  Laura was on perineum duty and essential oils for aromatherapy, while Tasha was helping and apprenticing and keeping me grounded. 
 
The end of pregnancy was arriving.  I knew he was coming, but I also could feel how hard it was and I felt the burning in my vagina as he made his way down.  I wondered if I was strong enough to push through or would I hold him back?  I wanted to hold back… so I thought.  I needed strength and courage to push him out and used my voice to moan with each push, while sweating, using the weight of my body with each contraction, and it was all happening.  I did have a pushing fantasy that it would be a natural reflex and that means the body and baby push without force and common with the right environment and proper addressing of fears and body structure. 
 
The energy changed and I could feel I needed to push very hard.  I knew then I would most likely tear.  I could feel pain with the stretching.  I was very clear early on that I wanted pictures and videos.  I also wanted to be involved no matter what and present for it all.  My midwife Beth placed my hand on my vagina and I could feel my son crowning and it motivated me.  It gave me permission to continue and move past any issues.
 
Once his head was delivered then the rest of him followed; he was crying with a gurgling water surprise; Going from water to land.  Rene was asked if he wanted to catch him.  Rene did!  Rene followed Beth’s lead and brought him to my chest as I was on the birth stool. Forest was covered in a lot of vernic and birthy goodness.  I was over joyed and beyond happy.  I held him to my chest and could feel the umbilical cord still connecting us.  He was finally here and he was perfect.  He was 22 inches and 8 pounds 7 ounces and born August 24, 2016 at 4:09AM.
 
Rain saw his brother born in our home with the help of Wendy getting him out of bed.  We asked Rain for months and weeks if he wanted to see his brother born and leaving it up to him.  He did.  3minutes before he was born Rain witnessed it.  I remember seeing the biggest smile on Rain’s face.  He was so happy.  He said baby came out like a rocket ship and shot out.  After that Rain would be telling us how he could not stop kissing him and what a cutie pie he was.  That week we hugged a lot and cried.  Rain was officially a big brother.
 
Daddy was so involved in the labor and birth.  It was very powerful.  Rene was very nervous like any father would be.  He was present and involved in supporting me and loving me with great trust.  He did whatever needed to be done.  How lucky for Forest to be touched by his father for the first moments of life.
 
This is my healing birth story of my second birth of my son, and I had no idea how it was all going to progress.  The birth was deeply wild, amazing, powerful, fearful, and just about perfect.  I could not have done it without Rene, Rain, Wendy, Beth, Laura, and Tasha.  My family has expanded in more ways then I could ever imagine.  I am thankful and deep with love for all those involved in our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

If you have heard my lectures or joined my programs then you have heard me talk a lot about intuition and trust.  I do not speak lightly nor am I whimsical when I talk about intuition.  It is very real and powerful part of survival and living.  Intuition is your inner sense barometer that guides you each and everyday in your life.  You use it both consciously and unconsciously.  It is a major part of your sensory system of touch, taste, smell, see, hear, and sense.  With intuition comes trust.  Trust is the foundation of your whole life.  Think about it.  If you cannot trust your intuition then how could you truly live with spiritual awareness and connection?    
 
This is why I encourage women in conception and pregnancy to first begin the baby communication connection with getting comfy with intuition and trust.  You cannot have soul baby communication without intuition.   A helpful tip I would love to share if you are new to baby communication or want to accelerate your connection is to use your imagination to get connected because imagination and reality share the same experience.  Yes.  This is true.  I could have easily believed it was all my imagination that I connected with all kinds of soul babies, but then so many would not be receiving validating and healing readings.  If you want to know more about reality and imagination then ask neuroscience about it.         
 
If you feel like your mind plays tricks on you and you get doubtful on your baby communication just trust that your mind is going to fool you at times, but don’t let that stop you from a most extraordinary spiritual connect soul to soul.  It can help to get a neuroscience understanding to guide you forward.  Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system that runs through the whole body especially sending and receiving messages in collaboration with the brain.  From an article that gives a great perspective about it called “How Imagination Shapes Your Reality.”  “For millennia, though, spiritual contemplatives and artists have taken flights of fancy much more seriously and challenged the firmness of that line. And surprising recent advances in neuroscience, particularly in the field of brain scanning, have added support to their conviction that our imagination and sense of reality are closely intertwined.”  So next time you start to feel doubt, remember to play with your imagination.  Let it guide you into real experiences of baby communication.  Ask yourself next time you wake from a dream and wonder why it felt so real.

What is the first thought that comes to mind about a medium or psychic?  Do you picture a mysterious woman wearing a sparkling purple turban with gypsy like flare or perhaps a cigarette smoking psychic rubbing her crystal ball that somehow has the answers to life and death?  Okay, maybe my examples are a bit over the top and extreme, but I am trying to make a creative and humorous point in the life of a spirit baby medium.  I want to help define what a medium is first.  Then I will share my personal insights as a spirit baby medium. 


Not sure where the original term medium came from, but I am sure you could find it in books and of course the internet, our new encyclopedia.  Let's start with the media's view of mediums (media as in prime time television & periodicals).  I do know that the media has a way of selling fear and fooling the masses by portraying anyone that is psychic or spirit world aware, as strange, illusionary, and possibly carrying a charlatan energy or even having demonic tendencies.  I laugh at it ALL because fear can be very convincing and each human has a choice in believing, living, sensing, and connecting to whatever they want whether it be in fear (negativity) or not in fear (positivity).  I may have to thank the media for even mentioning that spiritual world of mediums and psychic awareness exists even in negative statements because it begins the conversations. 

So then.......What is a medium?  We all have different ideas on what a medium is and what they do.  I Googled medium.  Guess what?  Pages of many definitions about it...and...I loved them all!  Not one was the same.  Maybe a few had similar tones and definitions, but over all they got the message across.  I feel a medium is someone that has awareness of other energies of departed souls/ human beings that have died.  Mediums can pick up details about a person, who has passed on by having a mutual conversation with them from the otherside or also called afterlife.  Conversations are typically telepathic in words, pictures, sounds, sensations, and feelings.  The soul/ spirit is eternal and deeply thriving and mediums know this, and can easily connection with it.  Mediums are bridges from earth world to spirit world.  They bring healing and spiritual understanding to something that can feel very unknown and misunderstood.  I believe anyone can connect to the soul/spirit of a passed on family member, relative, or friend, and that includes others you may have never met before.  It takes being open and aware to invite it into your life.  It is about YOU allowing yourself to venture into your inner metaphysical self along with your spiritual heart.  It can be a natural gift and a practicing gift.  No right or wrong way to be a medium....just involves communication, and self knowing and self awareness.  


If a medium connects with the departed soul then what does a Spirit Baby Medium do?  Just so you know...no known definition of spirit baby medium exists.  Go ahead and Google it...you'll see.  It is a new term that I hope becomes more familiar in spiritual circles, the birth world, and beyond. I have met  healers, spiritual teachers, doulas, and midwives that provide services in spirit baby communication.  I would consider calling them all Spirit Baby Mediums.  It is extremely rare unfortunately or I should say not yet recognized profession or term.  I feel the craft and term will develop over time as humanity evolves.  Soon in the close future many will be called into Spirit Baby Mediumship. (I plan to teach more and mentor about it in 2017!) 

I have been working my brain around trying to explain what a Spirit Baby Medium is about in depth for many years.  My only obstacles are me.  Not easy being apart of an untapped philosophy and then feeling the deep calling to expand about it in great detail, especially conversations not typically explored such as IVF/infertility, adoption, surrogacy, and birth loss of abortion.   As I grow, so does my practice and awareness around spirit baby world, energetics, divine connections, and other dimensional truths.  I am OPEN and I am welcoming to tune into what is next! 

Going deeper to define an undefinable, felt sense, and deeply truthful world within spirit baby communication takes me into sharing with you more of my philosophy and inner studies.  A spirit baby medium makes contact with babies before life in preconception and in pregnancy as well as birth loss (miscarriage, abortion, fetal demise.)  I believe that babies come from this sacred "other portal of energy" that is the Beginnings of Life.  A place that holds a conscious evolving space of LOVE and divine safety (some say God).  NOT from where those that depart go like Heaven/the otherside/ afterlife.  New life is birthed into being  and lived life is rebirthed into the cosmos.  

Many curious questions and no real template of spirit baby communication exist besides mediums, clairvoyants, psychics, and pre-birth researchers sharing it.  You can easily find information in deep detail when it comes to the topic of mediums that support souls in death, but when it comes to the soul of a baby before life then that information is hard to find or I should say very new.  I feel we do have some great spiritual researchers and healers working by divine intervention to bring it into the mass consciousness, but still not popular and very much hidden spiritual subject.  

My spirit baby studies take me into the unknown on a daily basis and I openly share what the spirit babies continue to teach me along with my own soul's path towards wisdom.  I thank all the women, men, mothers, fathers, teachers, and healers for bringing the spirit baby LOVE forward into conversations, articles, media, and the lives of many around the world.  In that knowledge of us all working together to SHARE in big ways, I celebrate the divine callings and inspired thoughts of each;  After all, we all were spirit baby's at one time or another.  We ALL have a personal connection.

What is parthenogenesis?  What would you think if someone told you that you could procreate without a partner?  That you do not need sperm for the embryo to develop or that a woman alone could create her own baby.  This seems to go against science and maybe you are wondering if it goes against God?  You may also be asking how is that possible?   

Parthenogenesis in humans happens and something not many think or hear about, while practicing  conception.  Parthenogenesis is called "virgin birth."   We are taught that pregnancies occur within a collaboration of ovum and sperm and a majority of creation does.  Science only recently discovered that many mammals can self create.  An article exists that discovered a women had a baby through partial parthenogenesis, but not on purpose.  Her baby was given specific tests for other reasons and it was discovered that her baby was not conceived through her  partner initially, but actually her body self created her baby.  The couple had no idea and many humans could be a product of full or partial parthenogenesis and never know it unless tested.          

What about moving beyond science for a moment and lets look at how many women have become curious on self creation for their spiritual path into motherhood.  How could a women conceive in a solo conception or virgin birth?  I love to expand into the idea of creating a baby by oneself.  What does that mean and how does it work?   An African goddess contacted me for soul communication with her multiple babies, while in pre-conception.  She has no partner and ready to be a mother.  This is when I first heard the word parthenogenesis.  I will not lie I was caught by surprise and something I never thought about.  It takes a lot to make me skeptical and I was feeling it. 

This goddess was seeking support in her desire to call in her babies this way and was already working towards self procreation.  It is an extraordinary concept first in science and deeply possible within spirituality.  I felt many thoughts come up around self procreation and this idea of a solo conception.  I put my skepticism aside and shifted inward were I was able to invite the energy of parthenogenesis.  I authentically felt the truth of it.  I could feel another world of this vibration and it felt very real and possible.  It is not a mistake of nature nor a science experiment, but more a deep spiritual connection.  It is not something one goes around talking about because it lives in a realm of sacredness and personal desire that is a path into motherhood.   

If you are a woman seeking to call in a solo conception, I recommend being open and trusting your intuition.  Not allowing your ego self to make choices about it or fear be your basis for your spiritual purpose.  Understand it is a private and deeply powerful journey that will teach you many things about yourself.  Just remember to share with others that can only hold the highest and best for you.  Don't get lost in it and be authentic on your conception journey.  It is not just about you, but also the soul of your child or children.

Conception is not just about the connection of physical cells forming and coming together to create human life.  It is an organic chemistry of physical reality along with an evolving truth of spiritual energy that collaborates.  Conception is not a one sided experience even if it may seem to be.  It typically involves a couples intimate moments that can lead to intentional or unintentional conception.  This always includes the unborn’s possibilities of life. 
     
What is an intentional miscarriage?  It is purposefully working towards ending an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy.  No one wants or likes to talk about it, but many women around the world are faced with keeping or letting go of potential motherhood.  It does not matter whether it is a personal choice or medical choice.  It is a difficult and heart expanding choice with the hope that the best choice is made in that time under those circumstances in that moment.   

It is not a new concept to practice this form of release of pregnancy, but it is something that is not talked about, understood, or shared outwardly due to cultural beliefs, fears, and misconception within perceived spiritual limitations.  It takes a certain level of commitment and connection to the soul of the self and soul of ones baby to invite an intentional miscarriage. 
 
It is a very sacred act of silencing the self to explore the reasons and needs to let go of conception.  It involves creating a mutual agreement of pregnancy liberation.  Intentional loss is purely a spiritual truth and practice.  It involves many parts.  Some may use herbal abortion techniques and other holistic therapies for termination from the physical, but that is not the energy behind intentional miscarriage that is being shared.  The energy behind intentional is not using any physical means or western medical assistance.  Nor is it the power of the mind to will away pregnancy.  It is the power of spiritual conversation with releasing and letting go of pregnancy by connecting to the soul body and connecting with the soul of ones baby.  It can also include the partner. 

An intentional loss is using spiritual depth and discernment.  It involves deep self reflection and calling upon the spirit or soul of ones potential child.  It is asking ones child to not be born and either leave for future conception or not in this life time.  It will not be as simple as saying it or believing it. 
 
The letting go of pregnancy is not just about the individual, but the spirit of the baby.  Ones baby needs to be acknowledged in an honest, loving, and caring conversation.  One must connect with the spirit or soul.  It is important to commit a ritual that includes meditation, conversation, and symbolic uses of healing loss.  Feeling committed to an intentional release is one part of the letting go.  The most important part for this to work for someone is ones spirituality.  Not a connection to religion, but a connection to that inner spiritual energy and heart.  That can include a religious practice, but be mindful of religious practices that promote limitations and fear. 

Remember that we are not just physical beings and many other experiences beyond the present are happening.  It is ones inner awareness that allows deeper understanding within conception.  Conception into pregnancy is a special journey and unique experience.  Letting go of conception or creating an intentional miscarriage can be a loving and selfless act.  Only you are take this private and personal path and move beyond self limitation and into love.
